	Welcome To The Millbrook Wranglers Cowboy Action Shooting Society


The following description of Cowboy Action Shooting is compliments of John Scott a.k.a. Santee SASS #2171 Hole in the Wall Gang: http://www.geocities.com/Colosseum/Bench/7674/ Cowboy Action Shooting is a competitive shooting game where the shooter and/or the target are moving (unlike standard target shooting). The course of fire is based upon a scenario, or story, that determines what combination of firearms the shooter will use and the layout of the targets. The targeting changes from scenario to scenario, offering variety and challenge that enhances the fun. The firearms used are based on those which existed in the 19th century American West, i.e. lever action rifle, single action revolver, and shotgun.


What makes Cowboy Action Shooting so unique is the fact that every competitor must be dressed in a costume representative of a real or imaginary character that would have existed on the American Frontier. In addition, every shooter must use an alias that relates directly to the character for which he or she is costumed. Scoring is based on time, shortest time being best, with time penalties for misses and/or procedural errors.

Come to Hill City, Kansas and shoot where the original Cowboys lived and played, located in a tree lined grove next to the river.

We are a new club in a sparsely populated area and need shooters and spectators to make this a success, please feel welcome to join us.
Club membership only $50 per year
Monthly Shoots only $5 for members, or $10 for non-members.
